This summer I am going to be cycling from Barcelona to Bristol in order to raise money for One Foundation (www.onedifference.org/the-one-foundation).  This charity seeks to provide clean drinking water, HIV/Aids testing, nutrition and sanitation to communities in Africa.

My late uncle, Kevin Thompson, was very passionate about this charity and I am therefore doing this ride not only for the people in Africa, but in memory of him.

Clean water is a fundamental necessity to every human being and there is a great need for the work of the One Foundation, which is why I have chosen to cycle over 1000 miles in support of them. The cycle will prove to be a hot and gruelling task, covering 100 miles a day, over the Pyrenees and up the West Coast of France. But, I feel this is nothing in comparison to the daily task of walking the miles the women and children in parts of Africa do, in order to sustain their life.
