Raising money for Northampton General Hospital Charitable Fund

The NGH Charitable Fund was established in 1994 to help deliver the highest standards of care to the patients and families who use Northampton General Hospital. It also supports our staff to improve, extend and innovate their work with the latest technology and training, enabling them to provide patients with the very best and most up to date treatments available. <p> Whilst the NHS receives government funding for healthcare, there is always more that can be done to improve our services. It's through the amazing generosity of patients, visitors, local companies, community groups and individuals that we are able to grow our services to help treat an even broader range of medical conditions. <p> Northampton General Hospital serves a local population of 360,000 and operates over 600 beds, 14 operating theatres, ITU and HDU facilities. As a recognised cancer centre, we provide specialist care to a catchment population of 880,000. <p> The NGH Charitable Fund is there to support every area of the hospital to improve patient care and we thank you for the support you give to help us achieve this.

I have started to fundraise for the Gosset ward after my second son Harrison was born 9 weeks premature back in March this year, He was quie poorley when he was born and spent 5 weeks being treated in the scbu by some fantastic staff. They not only cared for Harrison but also offered support for me, Ash and lewis too during this hard time.

Okay our events, we have completed a couple of successful online auctions and are doing another starting 25th september, we have also produced a charity calender which will be on sale hopefully next month and have another cake raffle and dog racing tickets on sale, payment this way is far easier as it goes direct to the hospital.

We are hoping to raise as much as we can for the ward, every penny we raise is used to help them make their job easier and save more and more babies.without these people our precious Harrison wouldnt be here today.
