Story
I’m performing a stand-up comedy gig on Wednesday 27th November at the Hen & Chickens in Islington.
I’ve never done stand-up before, I don’t have support from any big names and I haven’t finished writing my material yet so in all likelihood it’ll be the worst comedy gig in London this year but I’m doing it to raise money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust (specifically for this girl: http://bit.ly/17xMwCw).
It’s completely free to attend – you don’t have to donate any money unless you’ve enjoyed yourself – and the venue have even been kind enough to waive the hire charge, so everything goes directly to the CFT.
I’m crapping myself about it already so I figured I might as well try and spread the word a bit.
It gets worse the more money I raise ...
£100 - I'll extend my set time to 20 minutes.
£250 - I'll accept three submissions at random for topics to be included in my set.
£500 - I'll print 100 flyers of my face through the ages (see above) and hand them out to strangers on the street inviting them to come along.
£750 - Kev and Lotte have agreed to donate an hour of the team's time to sell-in the event to every mag in London.
£1,000 - I'll record the whole thing and post it on YouTube so that the lolz never end.
Give what you can, or even just spread the word.
