GTCA was set up in January 2009, six months after 13 year old Georgia Cordery was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Rhabdomyosarcoma. Along with her family and friends Georgia started Georgia's Teenage Cancer Appeal to fundraise for charities that had touched her life during her cancer treatment.
