My name is Tom Brookes and my aim is to raise £10,000 for Amnesty.  

I am leaving at the end of June to walk around the UK with no money at all, for as long as it takes to raise the £10,000.  This could be weeks, months or maybe even a year who knows, it takes as long it takes.  This trip will push me not only physically but also mentally, with long periods of time with only myself for company, which is enough to drive anyone crazy.  

The reasoning behind the trip is that so many people have nothing and are forced to live with nothing, so I reasoned the best way to raise money and awareness was to myself live with nothing.  I am taking only what I will have in my rucksack, which will be changes of clothes, camping equipment (sleeping bag etc), a few maps and some bits of survival equipment.

I will be posting updates whenever I get the chance.
