My 2013 Year of Hell · 2 December 2012

We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

Hi, thanks for visiting!

So for my year of hell, i will be attempting to complete 4 physically challenging events (one per quarter) in order to raise money for CALM who i shall mention at the end.

(Facebook Page http://on.fb.me/UFMrnk)

I'll start by saying that i am not an active physical bloke. I had my first run this week and it was horrible - i do not want to do it again! BUT the more i think about it, the more challenging and worthy this page seems to be. So help me reach my goal, i know i can do it if i have some support behind me!

Event 1 - Brentwood Half Marathon - 24th March

Event 2 - Tough Mudder - 4/5th May http://toughmudder.co.uk/

Event 3 - London to Paris bike ride in 24h! - 6th June

Event 4 - The Loch Ness Marathon - September 29th

CALM is the campaign against living miserably, and exists to prevent male suicide in the UK. I have had my own depression issues in the past and am no longer afraid to say it, but a lot of people do not get help. A scary stat i heard was that suicide in young men accounts for more deaths than aids, murder and road accidents combined, but doesn't get the same profile.

Thanks for visiting!!!
