My story

 

Hi guys :) First of all that's a first for me so thanks for taking some interest in this: this is not a scam but genuine event I am participating in. I know the charity founder through a very good friend so please have a look at what this is about first of all:

The founder is a very prominent music producer who has helped in growing the charity to such a level where it is now making a difference to lots of people' lives (You can see who the patrons are here... http://www.nordoff-robbins.org.uk/fundraising/patronsSponsorsFriends.html , not anybody...). I think this combination of using art to enhance communication is outstanding and I am sure it will appeal to most of you.

 

I have already donated towards all costs related to my participation to the event (flights, food, bike, etc.) and therefore your donation will sponsor the remaining part of my registration to the event itself, all funds will go directly towards the charity itself. I have to raise a minimum of 1,300gbp but targetting 5,000gbp and I believe this is easily achievable with such a generous group of friends as you are. This is a good cause and it is not everyday that a friend asks you to participate in something like this so I hope you will consider it and help :)

The bike challenge lasts 4 days and in a nutshell this is what we will do (it is a bespoke event and is organised by a very famous charity event company (http://www.classictours.co.uk/ our challenge is not listed as it is bespoke/private) :

Day 1-2:  Bike fitting. Ride to Philae to the high and low dams. Boat transfer to Kom Ombo. 42 km

Day 3: Kom Ombo - Edfu. Morning temple visit. Cycle along west bank of Nile. 78km. Overnight sail to Luxor.

Day 4: Cycle to Valley of the Kings. Ride toward spectacular tombs and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to boat. Explore Luxor. 35km

 

(This is going to be quite demanding so I am afraid I will have to pursue the diet and training some have been rigthly criticising lol... )

 

They are various ways to donate for this but the easiest is through this web site as (quoting...) "it is simple, fast and totally secure.
