Make-A-Wish UK is part of a global movement that exists to make life-changing wishes come true for the thousands of critically ill children across the UK. The power of a wish allows families to create lasting memories that they will treasure forever – no matter what the future holds.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I'm raising money for Make-A-Wish UK by trekking from Cusco in Peru to the ancient Incan city of Machu Picchu this September (with Warwick RAG). I am aiming to raise as much money as I can for this fantastic charity. I fully support the work that they do and I am so excited by this opportunity to do my part to help them!

Make-A-Wish® UK grants magical wishes to enrich the lives of children and young people fighting life-threatening conditions. A wish gives a desperately ill child and their family time away from the daily struggles of living with a serious condition. Since 1986, Make-A-Wish has turned the wishes of more than 9,000 seriously ill children into magical realities – creating memories to treasure forever, whatever the future may hold.

The trek will be carried out over the course of several days. We begin at an altitude of over 11,000 feet and will reach around 15,000 feet at the highest point. With that (and the extreme climate) this will be a real test of willpower and determination, and an enormous challenge: one that I am equal parts nervous and excited for.

Please give what you can; any donations will be appreciated greatly and go towards an incredible cause!
