We‘re the world‘s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving and improving lives through research. We fund research into the prevention, detection and treatment of more than 200 types of cancer through the work of over 4,000 scientists, doctors and nurses.

Story

My mate John and I  have been planning a ride the rockies for a while.

I recently lost two people close to me because of cancer, so I figured it would be good idea to combine the ride with a bit of fundraising for a good cause.

I'm convinced that  medical research will eventually beat the disease that took Alec and Hamish.

The ride is a two day event, over 100 miles a day in the Rockies. details here.  http://www.teamevergreen.org/triple

Day one

The Triple Bypass is a ride to or from Evergreen (Bergen Park) and Avon over three mountain passes.  The ride is 120 miles from Evergreen (Bergen Park) to Avon over Juniper Pass (11,140 ft.), Loveland Pass (11,990 ft.), Swan Mountain and Vail Pass (10,560 ft.), with over 10,000 ft. of lung/leg challenging elevation gain!

Day two.

The same, backwards.

I'm doing the ride cos I weirdly like  that sort of thing, but if it encourages you to make a donation to this worthwhile cause, that will make it all the easier.
