Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
I am running the London marathon in April 2010 for Build Africa, a charity that works in rural Uganda and Kenya to help young people escape poverty. With Kenya ranked 144 out of 177 countries in the United Nations Development Programme’s [UNDP] human development index (52% of its populace living below the poverty line) and Uganda ranked 156 (with 38% living in poverty), Build Africa’s ‘Build a Business’ and ‘Build a School’ schemes operate to try to break this cycle of poverty through education.
So if you can sponsor me even a little money then it will really be making a difference and make all of the blisters, pain and foul weather that I will undoubtedly have to endure in training over the next few months worthwhile.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Build Africa will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you if you use the Gift Aid option.
So please sponsor me now!
Thank you for your support.
