On the 19th June I - along with 50 colleagues from Barclays - will undertake a gruelling 10 mile canoe or kayak up the River Thames to raise money for the Diana Awards and Westminster Boating Base. The Diana Awards empowers and engages socially active young people and Westminster Boating Base delivers watersports sessions to schools, community groups and young people, many of whom are disadvantaged and hard to reach.

Starting opposite the Millennium Dome, we will paddle past all of London's great riverside sights and will finish at the other side of the city near the Houses of Parliament.

Both of these charities are currently doing amazing work with the UK's young people and Barclays will match donations pound for pound
