CAFT helps children aged 17 and under who through no fault of their own miss out on the normalities of childhood. A free day visit, residential stay or themed visit, provides these children with a much needed opportunity to have fun & laughter and to simply enjoy being children.

<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</p> <p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">As you are aware Mark Cox, David Brackley, Stephen Little and the team driver Chris Williamson are planning to take on one of the UK's ultimate mountain-endurance challenges, which involves trekking to the top of the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in just 24 hours!</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">The mountains climbed, are <a title="Ben Nevis" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ben_Nevis"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">Ben Nevis</span></a> in Western <a title="Scotland" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scotland"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">Scotland</span></a>, 1,344&nbsp;metres (4,409&nbsp;ft), <a title="Scafell Pike" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scafell_Pike"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">Scafell Pike</span></a> in North-Western <a title="England" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">England</span></a> 978&nbsp;metres (3,209&nbsp;ft) and <a title="Snowdon" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snowdon"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">Snowdon</span></a> in North <a title="Wales" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wales"><span style="color: black; text-decoration: none; text-underline: none;">Wales</span></a>, 1,085&nbsp;metres (3,560&nbsp;ft). In all the challenge involves climbing some 42&nbsp;kilometres (26&nbsp;mi) of ascent and descent, with total travel approaching 765&nbsp;kilometres (475&nbsp;mi).</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">The team are proposing to start climbing Ben Nevis at 5pm on Friday the 24th June up the Pony Track which features approximately 1,320&nbsp;metres (4,331&nbsp;ft) of vertical climb after climbing to the summit and reaching the bottom we then drive for 6-7 hours to the Scafell Pike arriving at roughly 4am in the morning.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>We will start climbing in the dark from Wasdale Head which is the steepest climb of all three mountains, with 900&nbsp;metres (2,953&nbsp;ft) of ascent over only 4&nbsp;kilometres (2.5&nbsp;mi).<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;">&nbsp; </span>After completing Scafell Pike we will then drive for 4 hours to Snowden, as log as we reach the base of Snowden at 13.30 and the summit at 15.30 that will leave us 1 hour and 30 minutes to reach the base to complete the challenge within the 24 hours.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">I have attached some pictures that were taken on our first practice walk up Scafell Pike, remember when we do the challenge we will be starting this walk in the dark!!</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &quot;Arial&quot;,&quot;sans-serif&quot;; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">We decided to take on the challenge to raise money for The Childrens Adventure Farm Trust, please follow the link below to find out more information about the trust.&nbsp; <a href="http://www.childrensadventurefarm.org/">http://www.childrensadventurefarm.org/</a></span></p> <p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
