Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

The big news is that we did it within the 24 hour period, in fact with15 minutes to spare: Ben Nevis in 5 hours (including trudging through four inches of snow at the top), Scafell Pike in a little under four hours (and in pea soup style cloud cover at the top), and Snowdon in 3 hours 50 minutes (arriving at the summit shortly after the blizzard that hit the news headlines on the BBC and in the Telegraph at the weekend).

None of the three of us are quite sure how we did it in the timeframe but barring a couple of slips and falls here and there, the odd blister, a close encounter with sleeping sheep in the road at 3am on the way to Scafell, and the best part of 45 hours without sleep (including the travel to Ben Nevis and post completion 'refreshments' in a local Snowdonia hostelry) the whole thing passed without major incident.

Thank you so much for your support - during the lower moments of the challenge (in one of our cases an hour into the first mountain!) it really kept us going. So far we've raised nearly £1,000 (including gift aid) for the dementia care trust that do superb work in supporting those affected by dementia in Gloucestershire.

Just working out the next challenge now...

So please dig deep and keep donating.
