Thanks guys for all it donations! We just had Tiffanys hospital bills today and it came to £230. So everything that's been donated will help towards those costs. We really appreciate the help! Rach x
This is Tiffany Costangelo. She is 2 years old. At the weekend she tripped and knocked a boiling wok of deep frying oil all over her face, back and neck. We were able to get her to a missionary, who is a burns specialist, and she used the last bits of bandages she had, to treat Tiffany's wounds and bandaged her up so that she wouldn't get infected. The bandages were expensive and had just been sent from the UK.
Tiffany has since been admitted to hospital to get treatment for dehydration, but whilst in the hospital, a day after she had been bandaged up, the doctor on duty removed all of Tiffany's bandages, without using any kind of anaesthetic or water (the garments should have been soaked in 10 gallons of water so they could be removed without ripping of the skin). They replaced the very expensive bandages with tissue-like gauze that didn't cover her wounds properly. We now have the task of finding and buying new bandages for Tiffany, who needs to be redressed every 5 days. We can buy them here in the Philippines but they are about GBP50.00 each set. Tiffany will also need alot of E45 cream when her wounds have healed to prevent further scarring and contracture of the skin. We also, have to pay the hospital bills as Tiffany's family don't have any money.
