Story

I would like to say a BIG thank you to everybody who sponsored me for the Marathon. Your donations are going to make a big difference to lots of people!!

I staggered round in 5hr 3min after being ill that weekend and during the run (so not the time I was hoping for). Never mind there is always next year. The important thing is your cash is helping to change people lives.

Tim

+ + + + + + + + +

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the London Marathon 2012 to raise money for adults with learning disabilities. The two local charities I am supporting are The Minstead Training Project, and its sister charity Furzey Gardens, based in the New Forest.

At the Minstead Training Project, students with learning disabilities are provided with a day centre and residential accommodation. The charity aims to enhance their students’ quality of life, by developing their confidence, maturity and independence and self-respect. Students with learning disabilities are given the opportunity to work and learn together, through gardening projects at Furzey Gardens.

In 2012 the Furzey Gardens charity, will have a show garden at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The aim is raise publicity to celebrate the achievements of people with learning disabilities. The show garden will be the first garden of its kind at Chelsea, where students with learning disabilities will have directly contributed at every stage (from design to planting, and building of the show garden).

Your kind generosity will help me raise much needed funds to:-

- Make the show garden at Chelsea a success

- Celebrate the abilities and achievements of people with learning disabilities

- Raise the profile of the two charities

- Emphasise the importance of organisations working with learning disabilities

So please dig deep and donate now. Thank you.

Tim

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
