Paris Marathon 2014 · 6 April 2014 ·

It’s unacceptable that more than half of people diagnosed with the deadliest common cancer die within three months. That’s why they need and deserve more. More research, more funding, more breakthroughs. More than hope. Together we’ll make that possible.

Story

In March 2013 my best friend’s dad died from a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. A few of us ran the Paris marathon last April and thanks to everyone’s enormous generosity we managed to raise a huge amount of money for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

This year there are 8 of us signed up as a team and with your help we are hoping to raise even more money for the charity.

Training has been hard with all the wet weather but we are all motivated by raising money for such a good cause.

Any donation however small will be greatly appreciated for this underfunded charity.

Pancreatic Cancer has the lowest survival rate of any Cancer, 40 years ago breast cancer had a 43% 5 year survival rate, today it is 85%, 40 years ago pancreatic cancer had a 5 year survival rate of 3%, today it is still 3%.Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
