‘Everyone has their own life, with different interests, circumstances, pressures and problems. But men aren't supposed to talk about stuff, so it can be hard to know where or who to go for help when life gets on top of them.’

Hi Everyone,

Thanks very much for visiting and donating on my ‘Just Giving’ page.

On Sunday 23 of May I will be running the Edinburgh Marathon to raise money for the charity C.A.L.M. (Campaign Against Living Miserably). I want to smash my target of £1250 so what every you can give to help me would be fantastic and very much appreciated.

The charity C.A.L.M was started in 2005 and works alongside influential people from the music, sport and club scenes to encourage young men to 'open up' and talk about their problems. C.A.L.M focus’s on getting young men back and their feet and helping them to understand that they don’t need to be ‘Strong and Silent’ about their problems. It can be hard to talk about personal things, but little issues will build up into big issues that get in the way of life and often become overwhelming. Sometimes people feel like they have no where to turn.

C.A.L.M’s free phone helpline is designed to get guys talking with trained advisers who can listen and let them understand that if you are feeling down, isolated or generally pissed off, they are not alone. It happens to everyone at some time in their lives and there is no need to despair. Their website gives guys informative advice on issues which everyone goes through at some stage such as Bereavement, Divorce, Eating Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress and Depression.

The money raised through running the Edinburgh Marathon will help go towards keeping the helpline going and organizing events though C.A.L.M to get young guys feeling better about themselves and working through their problems.

If you would like more info on the event or C.A.L.M you visit their website or contact:
