Hi kind & generous people,
Last August as some of you may know my mum Kathy Goldsmith passed away after battling for over two years with terminal cancer. Her courage, sense of humour and wisdom was an inspiration to all who met and knew her during this time and the impression she made on those who helped her including many Macmillan nurses & carers is unforgettable.
I can testify to the importance and unwavering support of charities such as Macmillan and can honestly say that without the compassion shown to my mum and her family from the nurses and carers, Kathy's remaining life would have been greatly affected.
Last July I took part in the Macmillan Dorset Bike Ride and raised £500 and successfully completed the 60 mile route. It was a physically challenging and emotional day as I knew my mum didn't have long left but I felt so inspired to contribute in any way possible.
It is my privilege to once again ride in memory of her in this years event and I plan to complete the 60 mile route again...but slightly quicker!
Please donate as generously as you can to this fantastic charity and help support the many thousands of people all over the country who have and are currently suffering from cancer.
Thankyou to everyone for taking the time to read my page and any donation you make. It means so much and I hope that this may inspire some of you to join me in events such as this in the future.
Warm regards,
Tim Goldsmith
