We successfully completed the Original Mountain Marathon, coming an impressive (for us) 208 out of 300 in our medium score category.  A very tough challenge - especially the part when we had to share a tent no bigger than a large coffee table in a howling gale.  We covered over 28 miles in a total time of 9hrs 30mins over unforgiving terrain - peat bogs, tussocks, deep streams etc - but fun all the same.  But worth it as well - I am pleased to be raising funds for Scoo-B-Doo.

In 1991, my wife and I spent a short time in the Special Care Baby Unit after the premature birth of our son, Ben.  Unfortunately Ben died after a 2 day struggle but we were helped immensely before and after his death by all the staff in SCBU and were very impressed with their professionalism and devotion to their patients (and their parents).  We donated to Scoo-B-Doo at the time but its never too late to donate more and this is a great opportunity to do just that.
