Story

On 4 May myself and my brother, Josh, will be participating in Relay GB's effort to break the world record for the most consecutive marathons ever completed. The marathons will be run to raise money for Brain Tumour UK, a charity committed to providing personal support to brain tumour patients, funding research to identify better treatments, and raising awareness about the illness.

Brain Tumour UK's efforts are of great personal importance to us. My dad was diagnosed with a brain tumour last year. Since then I have witnessed first hand how debilitating brain tumours can be. The available treatment options are extremely limited.

Brain tumours kill more young women than breast cancer, they kill more young men than prostate cancer and they take more children's lives than any other form of cancer. Yet brain tumour research is grossly underfunded when compared with other types of cancer. This is something Brain Tumour UK is endeavouring to change.

Myself and my brother will be running part of a marathon together as part of Relay GB's effort to break the world record for the most marathons ever completed consecutively. The marathons will be completed in 'relay' fashion, through the day and through the night, one day after another, all across Britain until the record is broken. All in support of Brain Tumour UK.
