The Hospice helps people to live their precious lives well.Our care has many forms – at home, in our outpatient Spring Centre or through specialised care in one of our Hospice beds - and is defined by each person's need. We rely on donations to raise the £6m we need each year to fund our free care.

<p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: &#39;Calibri&#39;,&#39;sans-serif&#39;; color: black; font-size: 11pt;">Saracens'&nbsp;second sponsored event for the Hospice of St Francis is the Firewalk Challenge taking place on Tuesday 8th November at 4pm at OA's - everyone at Saracens including staff, players and coaches&nbsp;will be walking barefoot over red hot coals burning at over 1,200 degrees fahrenheit. The club is trying to raise &pound;5,000 for this event so we all have a target of &pound;50 to make so please give generously. See below for more information on the partnership between Saracens and The Hospice of St Francis:</span></p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: &#39;Calibri&#39;,&#39;sans-serif&#39;; color: black; font-size: 11pt;">&nbsp;</span>&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoPlainText" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: &#39;Calibri&#39;,&#39;sans-serif&#39;; color: black; font-size: 11pt;">E</span><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><span style="font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: &#39;Calibri&#39;,&#39;sans-serif&#39;; color: black; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-language: EN-US;"><span style="font-family: &#39;Calibri&#39;,&#39;sans-serif&#39;; font-size: 11pt; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-family: &#39;Times New Roman&#39;; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-bidi; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;">nglish champions Saracens are aiming to raise sufficient funds to provide three full-time specialist nurses for the Hospice of St Francis.<br><br>The players and coaches of Saracens, winners of the Aviva Premiership title last season, have teamed up with the Hertfordshire based hospice and pledged to raise the cash after fullback Chris Wyles&rsquo; mother Jessica was cared for by the hospice earlier this year.<br><br>The squad will take part in six sponsored events taking place between July 2011 and June 2012.<br><br>They will be plunging 100ft in an abseil in Hemel Hempstead in September and walking across hot coals in a daring fire walk in November.<br><br>A sponsored walk is planned for October, a Dame for a Laugh run, with players dressed as dames - and members of the squad have already been practicing for this event as you can see from the picture above.<br><br>A boat race between forwards and backs and a four-rounds-in-one-day golf event are also planned.<br><br>Further details about the events will be confirmed shortly.<br><br>Club captain Steve Borthwick said: <em><span style="font-style: italic;">&ldquo;We are very privileged to have this opportunity and we are hugely supportive of the work of the Hospice of St Francis, particularly since they helped the Wyles family.
