At Christians Against Poverty, we equip local churches to support people facing debt and other financial challenges. We campaign for a redesigned society that works for everyone, including those on the lowest incomes. Find out more about us at capuk.org or follow us on social media.

Story

58 miles and 5ish hours on a bike isn't everyone's idea of a fun way to spend a Saturday but we have decided to get the pedals turning - from glorious Peckham to (less glorious than Peckham) Brighton - in aid of the fantastic work being done locally by Christians Against Poverty. Please support us if you can.

CAP supports people who are in financial difficulty.  For many, this has a huge impact on their state of mind, health and family.  CAP doesn't provide handouts but instead helps people get to grips with their finances and come up with a long term (but importantly a realistic) plan to re-pay their debts.  CAP offers debt support and debt counselling completely free of charge to anyone who needs it and, person by person, is helping people to turn their lives around.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs .

If you feel the lure of lycra we're still looking for more people to join the team and raise money for this great cause.  Or you could simply join us for fish and chips on the beach at some point on the afternoon/evening of Saturday 12 July 2014.

Thank you!
