On the 20th of August Tim sets off on his fourth Inspired Living charity ride to raise money for Cancer Research UK on an 1140 mile ride to Rome in 13 days.

Since our first ride to Gibraltar in 2010, Inspired Living has raised £230,000. The challenges for the previous rides to Venice and Monte Carlo have been huge and this ride is no different with another stretch over the Alps taking us to over 2700m of climbing. 

Tim is joined by 40 other riders, most starting from Southampton catching the ferry to Northern France with others joining throughout the ride.

Jake, who will be doing his first ride will be joining me on the 25th August with five others in Lyon who will be riding to the overnight hotel just South of Lyon. From there, the route takes us across the Alps for some stiff climbing with little time to acclimatize with temperatures no doubt ranging from early 40's to rain and potential snow at the highest peaks.

The cost of the ride including all the support is funded by all the riders so that all monies donated goes to Cancer Research UK.

This charity means everything to us, as over the years both family and close friends have been affected by cancer.
