We're taking part in a 24 hour simulator race at The Race Centre for Children in Need against 9 other teams. (http://www.theracecentre.co.uk/index.php?pageaction=ReadArticle&aid=100&m=september&y=2012)competing

There are only 2 of us in our team (Tim Hillman & Tom Smith), which means a pretty intense 24 hours for both of us, taking it in turns driving through the day and night, with almost no time to sleep or eat!

This is the first year we will be tackling this challenge with only two drivers. Normally we have a team of 5-6 people where we could share the time spent driving meaning the other members could sleep and relax. This year with only two drivers the task will be alot harder and a really tough challenge. Having to stay awake whilst trying to keep the car on track will be a lot of fun.

Update: Due to a lack of teams entering, the event has been shortened into a 12 hour event with each team splitting into 2 teams, and being a team of 2 that means we're each doing it on our own for 12 hours solid - so it's just cranked up the intensity and the challenge of it a notch! We're hoping to get a relief driver come on Friday evening and give us a break to get some dinner, a drink and of course a wee break as there won't be any opportunity for even the basics!
