Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

We are raising money to set up a Car Repair Workshop School in Nairobi, in memory of Clayton who tragically died in a car accident 3 years ago.

We have visited Seed of Hope in Nairobi where young girls were being trained in needlework and craft skills, and would like to extend the education programme to include boys who want to learn car repairs, and eventually (2 years time) set up their own business.

The best and quickest way for these workshops to be set up is for us to purchase a container (we have had one donated so a big thank you for that), and for us to fit it out completely before it leave England. It will then be shipped to Mombasa and then road railed to Nairobi where we have arranged to have it craned off of the lorry and sited at the Seed of Hope site in Nairobi.

We will be supporting this venture for a minimum of 2 years to ensure that it has the best start possible. We will have to pay for the tutor - who will have to be a very special person, he will need both tutoring skills, creative skills as well as being able to motivate the boys. These boys will come from disadvantaged homes and will not have received any secondary school education, but they will have a desire to learn.

Seed of Hope have 3 centres in Kenya and IF money permits it would be wonderful if each of the centres could have the facilities to take these young boys in and give them a chance.

All of the money that you donate goes directly to the charity. Nothing is taken out for administration.

We are asking everyone that takes the time to read this page to make a minimum donation of £5.00, but more importantly to bring this page to the attention of at least 5 friends who will also make a donation. This way we feel sure that we can raise enough money to make sure that this venture will give some of the young boys of Kenya a skill for life.

P.S. If anyone watched Comic Relief and recalls the work that was going on in the slums of Kibera, this is one of the areas that the boys will come from.
