Story
still fundraising :) Text Tinu49 £5 to 70070
Gosh I did it I climbed the highest peak in the UK, that is such a wonderful feeling and it was not easy. We experienced four seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter all rolled up into one expedition. It was nice and warm down the bottom, no need to wear a jacket. The higher we climbed the more temperamental the weather became.
Near to the top I thought we had entered Narnia as the ground was completely covered in deep snow. I was expecting Mr Tumnus The Faun to come out from nowhere, it was that surreal. We had to trudge through tonnes of snow to reach the summit. I was a bit surprised when we got there, bearing in mind the temperature was about minus 5 at this point, to see a couple wearing kilts.
The freak weather continued as hailstones that actually hurt reigned down on us. Then the slow trek down to base began, well in my case it was a very slow trek because I realised at that point I hadn't really conquered my fear of heights. Put it this way Ben Nevis is very steep and I had to convince myself to keep going or I would have to stay on the mountain. As you can see I kept going and eventually reached the bottom.
I hope my account hasn't put you off as the views were spectacular and I would definitely do it again. It was an unforgettable positive and sublime experience.
The fundraising hasn't stopped though I still need to raise my target of £300 and more you can either donate on line or we've made it easier for you. Text Tinu49 followed by any amount to 70070 for example Tinu49 £10 to 70070.
