As some of you may know, this year I am running the London Marathon for the REDRESS Charity.

REDRESS is an international non-governmental organisation which helps suvivors of torture obtain justice and works to ensure that those than perpetrate torture are held accountable.

The organisation was founded in 1992 by Keith Carmichael, a British torture survivor who started REDRESS to help torture suvivors obtain what international law says they deserve but what they rarely have access to in practice: adequate and enforceable remedies and reparation for the harm they suffered.

If you would like to know some more about the amazing work undertaken by REDRESS, please visit their website at www.redress.org.

I have agreed to try and raise £1,200 for REDRESS by running the London Marathon. In order to add a bit of an incentive to potential donors, I have also agreed that if I reach this target prior to the race, I will run the marathon in (as yet unspecified) fancy dress (all suggestions welcome).

So, any support would be very gratefully received!

Best wishes

Toby
