Where will you be at 9am on the 15th April 2012?

Hopefully, wherever you are, you might be able to spare a thought for me, because at 9am on the 15th April 2012 I will be taking my first strides along the East Sussex coastline; strides that will not stop until I have endured the full 26 miles and 385 yards that is the BRIGHTON MARATHON.

You may think me mad, but I am doing this to help the people in Ethiopia suffering from horrific droughts as a result of climate change. Like myself, many of you will have seen the shocking footage emerging from this area and may even have thought about doing something to help, and now you can - by sponsoring me to run a very long way. It couldn't be easier for you to help these innocent people desperately in need of charity.

I will be raising funds for the lovely people at SUNARMA (sustainable natural resource management association). They are working to raise the quality of life for these poor people by providing long term environmental solutions so please give what you can.

To throw a cat amongst the pigeons, I will be rewarding one lucky donator with a bottle of Bollinger (courtesy of Tanners Wines). When donating, predict a time for me to run the marathon (26miles remember, so give me at least an hour) and, having checked that noone else has predicted the same, pop your time in the comment box provided. The run is in 6 weeks, and I haven't started training yet, so be sensible. The closest person to my actual time will win some excellent champagne to drink/spray/attract women etc.

Please dig deep and thank you very much for your kindness.
