Most of you will know, that in June this year, we lost my Dad - John Armstrong very suddenly, and prematurely.

We did not know at the time, but have since found out that Dad was suffering from severe heart disease.

Myself, my wife along with family and friends, have therefore decided to form 'Team Tom', and to run the Birmingham Great run (half marathon), in order to raise as much as possible for the British heart foundation.

Loosing my Dad so young, was a shock that I would not want anyone else to experience, so the more we raise, the more research can be done to try and reduce the effect of such disease in future generations.
