Result: I failed to pace myself for the first half, believing I could finish in three hours. As a result I slowed exponentially finishing in three hours and forty one minutes. All in all, though, I think it went well (even though I did get beaten by my girl-friend, Anna) and with your help I managed to raise a fair chunk of dosh for a noble cause. If you haven't had a chance to donate yet, there's still time and remember the tax-man will top it up if you donate online...

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Through a worldwide network of kindergartens, schools, colleges and educational projects, ORT annually provides hundreds of thousands students of all ages with teaching that focuses on the practical skills needed to find jobs and develop careers.

This year, their fundraising is focused on providing a high tech science and technology centre for Sha'ar HaNegev School, near Sderot. The school has been badly disrupted since 2000 by rocket fire from Gaza, warning of which gives students only 15 seconds to retreat into specially protected classrooms, often multiple times in a single day. In partnership with the Israeli Ministry of Education, ORT is working to build the school a new, rocket-proof campus which will allow studies to continue despite these attacks, providing Sha'ar HaNegev students with the facilities to flourish despite their difficult circumstances.

The demand for ORT's services is high and in many parts of the world they cannot help as many people as they would like without securing more funding.

Your help is vital.

Your support will make a difference.
