We did it! On a glorious Northern late summer morning Chris and I took to the roads of Newcastle and pushed out our 13.1 miles. An initial faff with the baggage buses meant that Chris and I were stuck with a rucksack at the start line, nightmare! As I had quite a lot of 'time' sponsorship Chris was the bigger man and vas'd up his soulders ready for the bag.
Chris and I had stuck together for the first four miles after which he decided he needed to releave the strain on his bladder, so I left him to it! Unfortunately we didn't see each other again until the finish line, however, even with a rucksack on Chris came in with the excellent time of 1hr 36mins. I came in at a new PB and ahead of my sponsorship challenge in 1hr 28mins 45 secs. You can check out the results at http://www.greatrun.org/Results/Default.aspx my race number was 26023.

Chris and I have decided to put on our running shoes and do what we do best and run away... whilst hopefully making some money for the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA). RAFA is a very worthwhile charity that looks after both ex and currently serving members of the RAF. Chris and I have decided to team up give RAFA our support this Autumn. We hope to set new personal best efforts for the half marathon distance.
Any support you can offer will be hugely appreciated, not just by us but more importantly by all those that RAFA support.
