Mongol Rally 2017 · 16 July 2017

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the only charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

Come July 16th 2017, Lochy, Will and I will be setting off on an adventure that will take us 10000 miles from London to Mongolia at the wheel of a 1 litre car!

Our journey will take us across 3 deserts and 5 mountain ranges, with limited roads in the latter part making it a challenge for both our navigational skills as well as the endurance of our poor car! This journey of epic proportions will also be completely unassisted, making us reliant on our own expertise and the goodwill of locals should we encounter any problems, making it all the more testing for our team!

The charity I'm supporting is Stroke Association, who do amazing work giving support to people who have suffered from a stroke, in order to help them return to their normal life. My Grandmother suffered from a stroke aged 76, and the care they receive following such trauma is vital for helping them to return to normal life, so please give generously!

We will be posting updates as we go about finding our car and putting it through many trials and tribulations on our great adventure!
