RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.

Story

The Countrywide Great Tour is a 6,800 kilometre ride, over 64 consecutive days around the coastline of , starting on the 4th July 2015 and finishing on the 5th September.  The opening stage departs from Holyhead, with a clockwise circumnavigation of approximately 100 km per day (subject to location), that takes in every seaside town, city and coastal village mainland  has to offer.

I will be taking part in two of the Cornish legs; numbers 48 and 49  on Thursday 21-22nd August 2015 Taking in -Marazion and Marazion to St Ives. To make it an extra challenge I will be cycling to the start of the first leg from Bodmin which is an extra 37 miles on top of the stage!  I will need to raise a minimum of £200 which I am very much hoping to smash that with all of your help please!

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 24 people every day and RNLI lifeguards provide a seasonal lifeguard service on selected beaches. The RNLI is independent from Government and relies on donations from people like you.
