The Angelus Foundation's mission is to help society understand the dangers of unclassified substances known as 'legal highs,' to reduce the harm they cause young people and their families, and to save lives.

Story

Thank You for taking the time to visit and donate on my Justgiving page!

On the 8th of January 2015 whilst studying at University, I received a phone call from my mother telling me my older brother had been admitted to hospital after taking the then LEGAL high AMT. I rushed back to my hometown unaware of the severity of his condition, although the five hour journey felt like a lifetime. once I had arrived home, I was met by my father who had to break the heartbreaking and devastating news to me that my older brother would not pull through. I was then driven to the hospital to meet my family and sit by my brothers bedside, it was absolutely heartbreaking sitting there, talking with the nurses and doctors trying to grasp onto any kind of hope that he would make it. On the 9th of January 2015 my older brother, Brodie Harrison-Merritt passed away. This ordeal is something that no siblings should go through at such an young age.

This is why my family and I are giving up drinking alcohol for the whole of January and the money saved will be donated to the Angelus Foundation. The Angelus Foundation educates school children, teachers and parents of the risks and dangers from using legal highs. The cost of educating a school of 14-18 year olds is £250, for this reason we have set our team fundraising goal at £250.

PLEASE donate anything you can to help us on our quest to reach our target and potentially save other families from this devastation.

Thank You.
