<p><strong>What am I Doing?</strong></p>
<p><strong>I am raising money for </strong><a href="http://www.onelifeonline.org.uk/" target="_blank"><strong>Onelife</strong></a> which is the Charity I have been involved with for many years.</p>
<p>On July 1st I am doing a <strong>28km bike ride </strong>(with 6 others) from where I live near Chorleywood to the Ugandan embassy in London.</p>
<p>My effort is part of a bigger fundraising event called <a href="http://www.onelifeonline.org.uk/events/challenge/" target="_blank">'The Onelife Challenge'</a>. Over the weekend 1st-3rd July young people all over UK are doing a sponsored run, cycle or walk for Onelife and that together, adding up all the distances, we are covering the <strong>ENTIRE DISTANCE AROUND THE UK - 4,500km! </strong>We are hoping to raise well over £5,000.</p>
<p><strong>Why give to Onelife?</strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;" lang="EN">If the news is anything to go by the UK is plagued with many problems: unemployment, scandals, addiction, family breakdown, teenage pregnancy etc. ( See <a href="http://www.centreforsocialjustice.org.uk/default.asp?pageRef=180">Centre for Social Justice's 2006 report on 'Breakdown Britain'</a>). </span></span><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt;" lang="EN">British teenagers are written off as people who drink more, learn less and are burdens to society. They have 'everything to live with but nothing to live for'.<strong> I believe Onelife's work can change this.</strong></span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: yellow; font-size: 11pt;" lang="EN"><span style="color: #000000;">Onelife works with 14-21 year olds to equip them to become <strong>strong, Godly, commited leaders </strong>who really <strong>make a difference </strong>with their one life. Their mission is by 2025 the church, government, businesses,media and education will be <strong>transformed</strong> by the characterful leaders within them. </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 0pt;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; color: yellow; font-size: 11pt;" lang="EN"><span style="color: #000000;">Onelife does this by running <a href="http://www.onelifeonline.org.uk/events/conference2011/">conferences</a> and <a href="http://www.onelifeonline.org.uk/get-involved/build/olc/">learning programmes</a> based on character and biblical teaching as well as practical leadership skills such as emotional and relational intelligence. </span></span></p>
