Great South Run 2017 · 22 October 2017 ·

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help

Story

Hello!

A group of us are running the Great South run in order to raise money for two incredible charities- Headway and Teenage Cancer Trust!

Our close friend Tom Harris recently had a severe brain injury whilst on holiday in Slovenia, and we are here to show our support for him and his family as he recovers! This race means a great deal to Tom as he was supposed to be running in memory of his close childhood friend Sam Hooker, and we want to do our best for both of them in case Tom isn't able to participate himself.

Please please donate whatever you can to these brilliant charities, and give me some inspiration to keep me going throughout the run. I have not even entered a light jog for the past two years so it will be a genuine surprise to us all if I can cross the line!
