Hi folks, 

I'm honored to be sailing on Team UNICEF, Leg 7 in the 2019-2020 Clipper Round The World Race.  The race is already underway, having started in September.  The race consists of 8 Legs, and I'm on Leg 7, scheduled to leave Seattle May 2nd, 2020, sailing non-stop all the way to the Panama Canal, where we'll have a chance to get back to land for a few days.  After all boats transit the Panama Canal, the 2nd race on Leg 7 leaves early June, sailing non-stop through the Carribean, and up the East Coast to New York.

Having already completed training, this has been, and will be one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.  Once I join the race, I'll be on board with about 23 other crew on Team UNICEF, racing sailing non-stop in 4 to 6 hour shifts, sharing a bunk with someone on the other shift.  This isn't luxury sailing, and it will be an incredible emotional investment, and I'm all in and looking forward to it. 

I have the added honor of being on the UNICEF boat.  UNICEF is the official charity of the race, doing incredible work for Children around the World.  Any donation is appreciated.
