<p>Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!</p> <p>I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon on October 9th. &nbsp;As many of you will be aware I am a passionate environmentalist and have consequently chosen GreenPeace as my charity to raise money for. &nbsp;Currently, GreenPeace are working on three projects that I really think are worthy causes:</p> <p>1. The Stop Climate Change Campaign: fighting deep water drilling, championing clean, renewable and efficient energy and helping clean up oil spills such as the Deepwater Horizon BP Disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.</p> <p>2. The Protect the Forests Campaign: working to end destructive and illegal logging, protecting indeginous people's rights and protecting the diverse multitude of species that rely on these ecosystems for their existence.</p> <p>3. The Defend the Oceans Campaign: deploying active ships that attempt to end destructive fishing (e.g.see the Discovery Channel series Whale Wars for just how intense this mission is) and lobbying for international agreements that curtail polluting industries.</p> <p>Completing the race will be hard work but I am currently training hard and will be spurred on by the knowledge that I have your support and that the money is going to something really worthwhile.</p> <p>Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
