Being diagnosed with a terminal illness can turn your world upside down. We're here to help people make the most of the time they have left, and provide expert care so that they can die with dignity. Your donation today will help us to be here for people in East London when they need us.

Story

I am running the Hackney Half marathon for St Joseph's hospice with 20+ other runners in memory of one my best friends mother who sadly passed away a few years ago, Judith Cam. It really is a great organisation and provides people with the care and support they need in very difficult times. With many cuts happening to the NHS it is important we help organisations like this stay properly funded to help our community. Please help me/us raise as much money as possible to support this wonderful hospice.

Below is more information on the hospice and how it helps our community.

St Joseph’s Hospice opened in Hackney in 1905, and since then has been caring for and supporting people affected by serious illness in eight London boroughs. We work to improve the quality of life of more than 2,100 patients with life-limiting conditions each year, helping them live life to the full, to the very last. We have to raise £19,000 each day to keep our vital services running and available to the 2.2 million people in our diverse community, so every penny raised for our hospice is really important, and very much appreciated.
