London to Paris Cycle 2019 (Skyline Events) · 18 September 2019

We’re the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We’re determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. Our vision is a future where nobody dies of the disease.

Story

Thanks for visiting my team fundraising page. My brother Michael sadly passed away on 23rd July 2019 after a long battle with cancer.

It was Michael that got me into cycling and so a fitting tribute in honour of his memory and I am cycling all the places he lived, in age order.

This challenge will take place from Sunday 5th July and finish on Thursday 9th July and will see me cycle 490 miles and 18000ft of climbing in 5 days as follows:

Day 1: Bradford* (birthplace) to Pudsey* to Hurworth-on-Tees* finishing in Darlington.

Day 2: Darlington to York* to Hull.

Day 3: Hull to Oakham.

Day 4: Oakham to Flitwick* to Ampthill* to Woburn Sands* back to Flitwick.

Day 5: Flitwick to Maulden* to Newmarket* to Soham* and finish back in St Neots.

* denotes places Michael lived

For this challenge if anyone wants to join for one of the days or even a part of one, please contact me (I will be setting up a dedicated Facebook page for this soon).

As many of you know Michael had done some amazing fundraising for Bowel Cancer UK and I want  to continue to  raise as much money as possible for Bowel Cancer UK.
