Story
Legs4Africa is a charity which is very close to my heart.
I started the charity a few years ago during a trip to West Africa when I was befriended by an inspiring family. The father of the family was an amputee and I could see how that was affecting the whole family, I decided to help.
Through helping the family I learnt that prosthetic legs aren't manufactured in Africa and the mobility centres rely completely on donated prosthetic legs and components from Europe that can be modified and reused.
We've estimated that about 5,000 prosthetic legs are disposed of every year in the UK and since starting the charity just over 3 years ago we've been able to save 3,000.
Your donation will help us minimise waste and maximum life.
