Well, it's about time!

In September 2009 I am picking up the mantle again and doing a challenge for Marie Curie Cancer Care - The Great North Swim in Lake Windermere.  As part of my training (and I'm going to need some help with this, hence this site for motivation) I am giving up smoking in the hope that it might help stop me drowning!

The challenge is to not smoke at all from 1st August to 13th September 2009 (the date of the swim).  My promise is that I will repay all money raised here if I fail ... the more you donate, the more motivated I will have to be.  I will also donate £1 a day to evidence the fact that I'm managing it.
