Story

I'm taking part in the Great Tour 2015 to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and I'd really appreciate your support.  

I will be cycling 75 miles around the  as part of The Countrywide Great Tour (Stage 41).  I have never competed in an event like this and certainly never cyled for this long in one go so it will be a massive challenge.

The Countrywide Great Tour is the ’s ultimate cycling challenge and Countrywide is lead sponsor of this event. 

 

The tour is a 6,800 kilometre ride, over 64 consecutive days around the coastline of the , starting on the 4th July and finishing on the 5th September 2015.

I am cycling in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support who are one of the chosen Countrywide Charities.

The Countrywide Great Tour is a brand new epic cycling event which will draw upon not only your sense of adventure, but your passion to fundraise. The Countrywide Great Tour is ’s ultimate cycling challenge and Countrywide is lead sponsor of this event – a 6,800 kilometre ride, over 64 consecutive days around the coastline of , starting on the 4th July and finishing on the 5th September 2015.

The opening stage departs from Holyhead, with a clockwise circuit, with stages of approximately 100km per day (subject to location), that takes in every seaside town, city and coastal village mainland has to offer.

SweetSpot Group, organisers of professional cycling events in the , including the Friends Life Tour of Britain, have carefully designed the route to ensure you never lose the sound, sight and smell of the sea. The official mapping partner of The Great Tour, Ordnance Survey have carefully plotted this route to highlight each stage in its entirety.
