Hello,

We are very pleased you have made it this far, and we hope you are all doing fantastically well.

As you quite possibly know already we are both enthusiastic part-time runners from Carshalton, and members of south London's premier 5-A-Side Football outfit The Pitch 11 Dream Team (Thursday nights on Pitch 2, don't ask).

You may have even, from time to time, seen us running around various areas of the Borough of Sutton, both with varying lengths of beard and glasses. Alas, although we are not brothers like our good friends the Brownlees*, we are born on the same day.

Previously we have both participated in cross country running events including a number of gruelling and muddy 10k races (Brutal 10). However we feel it is now time for us to embark on our next challenge by undertaking a HALF MARATHON, and all for the very worthy cause of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The majority of people today have either been directly affected by cancer or know a relative or friend who has, and unfortunately there is a good chance that you yourself know someone who is battling this terrible disease at this very moment.

This is why with your help we are looking to raise as much money as possible in support of the Royal Marsden's efforts towards reducing the devastating effects of cancer, and also to support their valuable research into cancer diagnosis, recovery treatments and support to patients and their families.
