The Nelson Trust - Malvern Hills Walk · 4 October 2009 ·

The Nelson Trust is a leading charity in the South West of England and Wales, dedicated to supporting thousands of individuals experiencing substance use and multiple unmet needs every year, through our community services and women’s centres, residential rehabilitation, and social enterprises.

Story

Hello all,

I work for the Nelson Trust (see link for more details) and after years of saying I couldn’t possibly do the annual fundraiser of a 10km run in London, they’ve changed it to a walk in the Malverns, so no more excuses…

My next thought was who would be foolish lovely enough to agree to accompany me on my walk and immediately thought of Phil – my brother-in-law – who agreed to it very quickly.  Bless.  Accompanying us will be my 2½ year old Border Terrier, Ben, who will (hopefully) pull me up any steep hills, thereby making my walk easier.  Phil needs no help as he is well over 6’ tall, most of which is leg.

So please sponsor me and Ben (or just sponsor Ben as he will do far more than the 10 miles I’m doing!) and think of us on 4th October, walking to raise money for the Nelson Trust, who are doing good work to support people into a life beyond addiction.

Thanks!

Toni
