Right. Here's the deal:
I'm going to be publishing Mark Allison's book in September this year. It's all about him and his motivation behind 'Run Geordie Run'.
Here's the schedule: http://markallisonjogtole.blogspot.com/p/test.html
I'm going to be over in USA with him from 26 April and and returning on Friday 13 May this year as he runs across the country raising money for The Children's Foundation. Mark will be there for a while longer.
To save myself from the guilt and shame of watching him running all that way (he's doing 3,100 miles in total) while I follow along in a crew car, I've set myself the challenge of running 31 miles with him while I'm there. If I find my running legs, I intend to do a few more days. He's doing 31 miles a day, so that's my ultimate goal.
I decided to do this on 25 January. I'm going to start training immediately to help support Mark and his chosen cause. I hate running, but he's too much of an inspiration not to.
If you know me, you'll know that this is quite a big challenge. Although I appear to be athletic and have supermodel good looks, I haven't ran anywhere for a while. I'm bricking it already, but it's nothing compared to what Mark is doing.
PLEASE, please, pleeeeaaaase sponsor any amount you can. Think of the scrapes I get myself into and how much it'll mean to me to be out in that there US of A, knowing you've thought enough to chuck a couple of squids my way. I'm dead soft. I'll cry at your generosity.
This is not a sick joke.
Thanks for your kind support.
Loads of love
Stu
