Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This is a journey that started back in November 2012 when I watched a film on the fantastic work carried out by Rays of Sunshine. I have two children that are blessed with good health, Rays of Sunshine make dreams come true for children that have not been so fortunate. When I saw how happy the children were having their dream come true whether it was meeting their idols One Direction or being a fireman for the day it galvanised me into "What can I do to help make a childs dream come true?" and bring happiness and a lasting memory for them and their families.
I enlisted the support of my colleague Andy and together we decided to tackle the cycling equivalent of the Marathon the inaugural Prudential Ride London 100. Not only have we got to cycle 100 miles in one hit we have to complete it within 9 hours!! our target is to smash that and do it within 8 hours.
Since signing up for the challenge we have been training hard starting way back in sub zero temperatures with snow and ice on the ground, since then, we have been up hills, down dales and cycled through wind and rain. The only weather condition we don't seem to have had is sunshine!!! I am no Bradely Wiggins yet and I think the Tour De France maybe beyond me this year but watch this pace!!
So please dig deep, donate now and help me, help Rays of Sunshine make as many poorly childrens dreams come true as possible.
I thank you for your support.
