Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Last year I ran my first ever half marathons - Windsor and Marseille -Cassis- and with the generous support of friends and family raised over £4000 for the Ian Rennie Hospice in the Home
In 2009 I have achieved a long standing ambition in completing the Great North Run on September 20th in 1 hr 46 minutes - a personal best although the pride evaporated when I realised I had been beaten to the line by a reindeer and a banana....! The second half of the 'marathon in a month' was the Royal Parks Half Marathon in London on 11th October which proved to be much tougher as I suffered breathing problems for much of the race (take care buying new pillows if you are asthmatic..) and big thanks are due to Julian my osteopath and a lot of ice packs for keeping my ageing body together!
In these straitened times in 2009 I would like to ask for your help in supporting Action for Kids: they are a national charity working with children and young people with physical and learning disabilities and with their parents and carers - helping to transform young lives by removing the barriers to independence. I know them well and every £5 will make a real difference to their activities.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. They send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
So please donate now - every contribution will have a positive impact for this small but wonderful organisation
