New Ways Kenya Bike Ride
WE DID IT!!! - cycled from Mt Kenya to Lake Victoria - some 253 miles over hilly terrain, through the Rift Valley and acrossthe Equator. It was huge challenge, but we did it..
We did it to support New Ways, a UK registered charity that is run by unpaid volunteers, which means that administration costs are minimal, enabling the maximum amount to go to those in need.
New Ways supports a range of health and development projects, mainly in North Kenya geared to helping people to take responsibility for their own lives, providing access to water, education and health facilities and developing each project in partnership with local people. The initial sponsorship target was £2500. This includes the cost of the trip but I will be meeting this personally so all donations and monies raised from anyone else will go straight to New Ways. I would, of course, like to raise as much as I can and the target has been revised upwards over time. This is where you come in. If you feel able to make a donation it would be very welcome - THERE IS STILL TIME - and would make a real difference to the people New Ways is trying to help. All donations will be gratefully received - and I will send a free copy of a photographic and poetic record of the whole venture to donors - (see attached form for details of how to order more) Best Wishes Tony Earnshaw PS -Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: New Ways will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. So please sponsor me now! Many thanks for your support.
