Gail and I caught the cycling bug fairly late on in our sporting careers but we welcome enormously this opportunity to help raise money for Sport Relief and the Dallaglio Foundation (visit www.dallagliocycleslam.com ). We will be riding the Stade de France(Paris)-Twickenham stage at the end of February - 105kms/day for four days braving the elements but fortified by the knowledge that one of the main beneficiaries is Cancer Research UK, which we are especially keen to support as not only did I loose my mother to cancer last December, but also our first child Daniel was born with a brain tumour. He wasn't expected to survive and daily had multiple seizures until he was six. Thanks to the excellent treatment he has received since birth, he is still with us. That was twenty years ago and although he has learning difficulties as a result, he is very fit and healthy and hoping to represent GB in the paralympic games in 2012. Your donations can help to bring hope to thousands of similar sufferers and their families. Please give generously.
